Las Vegas Baby!

So I had been so blessed with the opportunity to do a photography for the ACM's this last weekend. With the additional gift to attend the Country Music Awards as a guest. I thought I would post some photos of the glorious weekend and let you in on some of the fun things I got to be a part of. I felt so privileged and blessed to have it all paid for and be treated to such fun and exciting events!
To preface nothing that happened to me in Vegas was in the category of something that would have to stay in Vegas...so I will fully share my weekend details.

A lot of people have been asking how in the world did I get the opportunity to do this? So just to clarify and give a big thanks to Leroy and Julie (owners of Marketing Images) for giving me this opportunity to work with them. We had known their in laws for several years and I used to nanny for some of their family. It was until less than a year ago that i met them and got opprotunites to do work for them. One of the big companies that hire them for photography are Dr Pepper. And dr. pepper sponsored the ACM'S.  And were so generous to provide the tickets for us to attend the award ceremony sunday night.

A decorator's spring touch!

Everytime a spring arrives I get a tingling of excitement fly through me as I anticipate the revival of lots of green! God decorates the outdoors with beautiful spring colors and carpets his created place with the beautiful color green! While I am busy on the inside recreating His beauty with lovely spring vibe. And for me that means lots of greens! And I LOVE IT! and along with that comes my weakness for stripes. :)

So here is a peak into the beginning of my spring decorating. Since I have only been able to hit the thrift stores this winter and haven't started my garage sale bargains, I am sure I will attain some more decorating finds as spring rolls on to add to the array.

The wreath from one of my favorite stores: Nell Hill

I love the black and white and green theme in my dining room

I had some extra fabric from the camper redo, So I decided it would hurt to have some extra fun in the library. So I put some of the fabric in the window seat and sewed a few pillows to tie it all in.

The spring project for this month was a fun and unexpected surprise my wonderful husband gave me.
Upon my arrival home from a weekend trip Daniel told me that I immediately needed to close my eyes. I was thinking it was to avoid the mess that had accumulated while I had been gone. But really was purposed to to keep me from seeing saws and power tools. :) He led me up stairs to our room to have me open my eyes to a whole new floor! Daniel and Phillip had spent the weekend watching kids PLUS clearing out our entire room and putting in new flooring! I was SOOOO excited! I have been wanting a new floor for sometime now! The hardwood is going to feel and look so nice. And I am super excited for a fresh start to the room and the opportunity add a few new touches. A couple more steps till its done. Pictures soon on the finished room.

With our room empty, everything got transferred to the kids room. We are going to be having several slumber parties as a family till the room gets done!

Have a great weekend!  And if you want to check out a few highlights of my weekend in Vegas click below

Our Easter 2013

This years Easter was a memorable one. With the beautiful weather we received it made it picture perfect! I was a little worried with the previous week's snowstorm.  I thought we might have ended up hunting eggs in the snow. So how excited to enjoy the weekend in the sunshine!

We were able to camp Friday night in our camper.{{Morning Glory: The Camper Revamp}} ........
{{The Campout}} Saturday I woke and left Daniel and the kids at the campsite to attend a wedding I was doing photography for. It was a gorgeous amazing wedding! The bride was absolutely gorgeous and then together as a couple? Adorable! With me being off sugar it was quite the temptation at the reception. For their guests the family had baked over 1,500 cookies and desserts! The spread was amazing! I filled a goodie bag for Daniel and the kids. Then I would feel better that someone in my family was able to enjoy all the labor of love in baking them.

 Meanwhile Daniel and the kids attended a snake feeding in our town. We have a pet store only a few blocks away. And it houses a huge 15 foot snake. weighing around 150 pounds. Anyways, it eats live chickens. So the fam didn't want to miss this opportunity. You can view the video Daniel put up of part of the feeding. {{Snake feeding at pet store!!}}

When I came home we made last minute dinner plans to have Daniel's older brother Luke and Michelle with the 2 little girls over for dinner. It was a gorgeous night so we ate out on the deck. The weather was just right it made me look forward to more evenings to enjoy good company, good food, and the beautiful outdoors.

Easter morning? Easter basket time! The kids searched hard for theirs and found some fun goodies this year. One of those was straw glasses. You wear them and when you drink the juice you can see it go up and through the glasses you wear.

Sunday we were so excited to go to church. This service was a special one. Our church was combining all 4 services that they normally have into one. So everybody that attends Redeemer would all worship together. Since that is a lot of people we had to meet in a bigger building. It was amazing to worship with so many believers.

After church we basked in the sun on the beautiful huge front lawn and rolled down the hill.

We then made our way to Daniel's parents house for lunch and an easter egg hunt

Daniel and I found a tandem bicycle in the mass collection at his parents and decided to give it a spin. We now have the dream to add a vintage tandem bike to our camper ensemble.

We ended the night at my parents house where we did another little Easter egg hunt of our own. After the warm up of the first easter egg hunt earlier in the day, the kids were pumped and ready to go! They had so much fun! Even long after all the eggs were found Creed was still on a focused egg search. He was determined to find more! :) We love doing object hunts in our house regularly. Instead of saving all the fun for just Easter. We have this wooden spoon that floats around the house and gets hidden lots by my kids and then found by me and then hidden again and found by someone else. The kids love it!

The best part of all was the overwhelming joy knowing our Savior is Risen and Alive!

Blessings,
Hannah
